Why Spankie? I was obsessed with watching The Little Rascals and Spankie just kind of stuck.
I am the youngest of 5 and a twin. I am a proud mother of 3 wonderful grown kids & a proud Mimzy (grandma) to 2 beautiful grandchildren.
How I came up with the name Mingo Moon Designs for my small business?
There are a few reasons but the main 2 are.
1. This is the most meaningful reason. I had a yorkie puppy whose name was Pixie Laweezee LuLu Moonflower. I got her at just about 3 months old early November of 2015. She was the cutest thing. So full of love, spunk and spitfire. She was the best companion in long car rides and whenever I was feeling down she always made me smile. She got me through some tough times and kept me company when I was alone. She was so full of life and boy did she loved to run.
I loved her so much. Sadly she was put down In April 2019 after she got hurt. It was a very hard decision to make, but I know it was the right one. My world crumbled. I miss her more and more with each passing day. I’ve always been crafty and to raise money for her cremation and vet dr bills, I sold a lot of items I had made. She was my little crafting buddy.
Since then I knew I wanted to include her in my business when the time was right. The time is now. I want to take my love of crafting and share it with others.
So that is where I got the name Moon.
2. The second reason is I love flamingos. I have an obsession with them. (not to bad). So I wanted to incorporate
that in some way also.
That’s where Mingo came from.
